Above, looking from the front to the back. Front row: Laura McGee, Vernon Peet, and Bernard Peet. Behind them: Stanley Trussell, Roy Webb, Bob Dyer, Mrs. Draper, Rebecca Trussell and Rhodes Trussell. The wood stove just to Rhodes' left was the only source of heat in the school on those cold, winter mornings.
Looking from back to front. Row on left: Mrs. Draper, Bernard Peet, Rebecca T., and Rhodes T. Others L to R: Laura McGee, Bob Dyer, and Roy Webb. Different time than photo of empty room. Note different decor. Organ has been moved against the wall and there is now a calendar on the west window.
Empty classroom. Probably taken in December 1907. Note all the decorations, especially paper chains. There is an old pump organ in the far right corner and a regulator clock also. The teacher's desk looks quite formal.
Miss Draper's class of 1907-08. Photo looking across valley to the northwest. Back Row: Roy Webb, Bob Dyer (Otis), Stanley Trussell, Unknown, Vernon Peet. Middle Row: (hiding behind Laura McGee) Rhodes Trussell. Front Row: Bernard Peet, Laura McGee, Miss Draper, and Rebecca Trussell.
These two photos (above and below) show the students of Mrs. McCarthy's class, probably in the 1908-1909 school year. On the top: L to R: Myrtle McGee, Amos Trussell, Bernard and Vernon Peet, Rebecca Trussell, Laura McGee, Rhodes Trussell, Bob Dyer, Roy Webb, & Stanley Trussell. On bottom, same class in an idyllic pose under a Pepper tree near the school. Bottom: the same class in a more traditional pose on the front of the school steps.
