The Trussells in Mid-New Hampshire

By the late 1700's the Trussells had moved northeast and were located in the middle of New Hampshire. Brothers John, James, and Moses -- all children of Moses and Jane -- lived in Hopkinton, Boscawen, and New London, NH, respectively. John came up here first and Moses came to work on John's farm before he joined the revolutionary army. Long after he returned from Bunkerhill, Moses founded the town of New London in 1802. It's relatively easy to follow James' path upstate. He was married in his hometown, Haverhill, MA in 1769, signed a petition supporting the Declaration of Independence in Sandown in 1776, had a son Amos Trussell in Warner, NH in 1785 and bought land in Boscawen, NH in 1786.
